Key Responsibilities
- Provide first aid treatment and care for pupils, staff and visitors.
- Manage and maintain medical records and accident reports.
- Administer medication in line with school policies.
- Monitor pupils with medical conditions and liaise with parents, carers and external agencies where required.
- Support attendance and pupil wellbeing initiatives.
- Maintain medical supplies and ensure first aid equipment is fully stocked.
- Promote safeguarding, health and wellbeing across the school community.
- Provide a calm, caring and professional presence for pupils requiring support.
- Current First Aid at Work qualification (essential).
- Previous experience working in a school, healthcare, welfare or pastoral setting.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage sensitive situations professionally.
- Good record-keeping and administration skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting children and young people's wellbeing.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures is desirable.
