About the Role We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary SEN Teacher to join a specialist autism provision in Lambeth, supporting pupils with high needs autism. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a real difference within a well-resourced and supportive SEN environment.

You will deliver a personalised curriculum tailored to pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), many of whom have complex communication and sensory needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, highly differentiated lessons linked to EHCP outcomes
- Create a structured, consistent, and nurturing classroom environment
- Support pupils’ communication, social development, and emotional regulation
- Work closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists, and parents/carers
- Track and monitor pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed
- Implement effective behaviour and sensory strategies to support learning
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Has experience teaching pupils with autism and complex needs
- Has worked in an SEN School or specialist provision (highly desirable)
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of autism-friendly teaching approaches
- Is patient, flexible, and committed to inclusive education
- Experience using the Attention Autism approach
- Knowledge of PECS, Makaton, or alternative communication systems
- Experience supporting children with sensory processing differences
- A welcoming and supportive SEN team
- High-quality CPD and specialist autism training
- Excellent teaching resources and facilities
