Learning Support Assistant (SEN)
Location: South East London
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Hours: Term-time only
About the Role An exceptional specialist education provider is seeking passionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistants to join their secondary provision. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students with additional needs in a highly structured, nurturing, and ambitious environment.
You will play a key role in delivering personalised learning, supporting students both academically and socially, and helping them to achieve meaningful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with special educational needs
• Assist in delivering a tailored curriculum designed around individual learning needs
• Support students’ academic development alongside their personal, social and emotional growth
• Help implement individual learning and behaviour plans
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
• Work closely with teaching staff and wider professionals to monitor progress and adapt support strategies
• Encourage independence, confidence, and engagement in learning

About You We are looking for individuals who are:

• Enthusiastic, resilient, and committed to supporting young people

• Calm and confident in managing challenging situations
• Adaptable and able to build strong relationships with students
• A strong team player with a proactive approach

Experience working with young people with SEN (including autism and associated needs) is desirable but not essential.
