Contract: Full-time, Term-Time Only
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Lambeth (SW2) is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join their pastoral team. This is an excellent opportunity for a resilient and proactive individual who is passionate about supporting children with behavioural and emotional needs and making a positive impact across the school environment.
The Role As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a key role within the school’s pastoral and behaviour support team, working across the school to promote positive behaviour and support pupils in overcoming barriers to learning.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Responding to behaviour incidents across the school, supporting pupils in real-time
    • Delivering targeted behaviour interventions on a 1:1 and small group basis
    • Supporting pupils with SEMH needs and behavioural challenges
    • Working collaboratively with teachers, SLT, and pastoral staff to implement consistent behaviour strategies
    • Helping to create a calm, safe, and supportive learning environment for all pupils
The Ideal Candidate
  • Experience working with children in a school or youth setting, ideally within behaviour or pastoral roles
    • Confident supporting pupils with challenging behaviour and SEMH needs
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships
    • Calm, resilient, and able to respond effectively in high-pressure situations
    • Committed to promoting inclusion, wellbeing, and positive outcomes
