About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Streatham, Lambeth. This is an exciting opportunity to work within the school’s newly opened Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP), supporting pupils with Autism and complex Special Educational Needs (SEN).
You will play a key role in helping children access learning, develop communication and social skills, and thrive in a supportive and structured environment.

You will play a key role in helping children access learning, develop communication and social skills, and thrive in a supportive and structured environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils with Autism and complex SEN needs in the ARP setting
- Assist the class teacher and SENCO in delivering tailored learning activities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support in line with EHCP targets
- Support children with personal care needs, including nappy changing and toileting
- Help manage behaviour using positive and proactive strategies
- Create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment
- Encourage independence, communication and social development
- Has experience working with early years or primary-aged children
- Has knowledge or experience supporting Autism and/or complex SEN needs
- Is comfortable with personal care, including nappy changing
- Is patient, resilient and empathetic
- Has strong communication and teamwork skills
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
- A supportive and inclusive school environment
