Job Description
Adult's Social Worker/ BIA, Hackney
We are looking to recruit a Senior Social Worker / Best Interests Assessor into the DoLS team on a 3 to 6-month contract.
This role will support the Team following the recent AGNI Supreme Court ruling (2006), and key responsibilities include: ● Supporting the screening of referrals for AGNI compliance. ● Assisting signatories with the quality assurance of assessments to ensure AGNI compliance and preparing Form 5s for authorization. ● Ensuring less restrictive care/treatment plans are identified and recommended when an adult is suspected of being unlawfully deprived of their liberty. ● To provide professional expertise and advice to practitioners, Best Interests Assessors, Managing Authorities, and multi-agency partners to support service development in compliance with the Mental Capacity Act 2005, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards 2007, emerging case law, and pending Liberty Protection Safeguards. ● Offering high-quality advice and guidance to partner agencies to ensure statutory responsibilities are met and outcomes for the Relevant Person are improved. ● Supporting the service in developing the team's practice and expertise to ensure alignment with legislation, relevant standards, and emerging case law.
Pay - £36 per hour
