Job Description

Adult Social Worker, Safeguarding/MASH Team,  Knowsley  
£32.82 per hour  
  • Promote the welfare and safeguarding of adults in Knowsley. 
  • Under the direction of the management team, you will ensure that the needs of adults referred to Adult safeguarding are monitored in accordance with the requirements of the Care Act 2014 and Knowsley’s safeguarding policy and procedures. 
  • You will carry out safeguarding enquiries under Section 42 of the Care Act 2014. Enquiries will be different levels of complexity, risk, uncertainty and challenge in line with the capability of an experienced Social Worker. 
  • Case load in the region of between 12  - 15 cases 
  • You will work one day a week s MASH duty social worker, taking calls, completing partnership checks and some initial enquiries. On occasions you may be required to cover sickness and leave. 
  • Implement and act in accordance with the Information Security Acceptable Use Policy, Data Protection Policy and GDPR. 
  • • Protect the Council’s information assets from unauthorised access, disclosure, modification, destruction or interference. 
  • • Report actual or potential security incidents.
