Service Manager – Liverpool
Adults Social Care           
Rate: up to £41.35 per hour
 
We are recruiting for motivated qualified social worker to join our busy team. This role is with one of the UK’s highest performing local authorities, serving as one of the best places to live and work in.
 
This is a qualified social worker role requiring you to be SWE registered and to have relevant experience in adults services.
 
This role is based with Complex Learning Disability, Autism and Preparing for Adulthood.
 
The successful candidates will be highly skilled and experienced individuals who have extensive knowledge of the statutory requirements across Adult Social Care. As a leader you will be highly motivated, supportive and able to work autonomously within the national legislative framework and governance arrangements of Liverpool City Council.
 
You will manage complex budgets, lead on performance management, continuous improvement and embed a culture of high-quality services that provide the best outcomes for people. You will also need to be resilient and have the ability to manage complex change and innovation programmes, whilst maintaining service delivery and quality standards.
 
Key responsibilities include:

Provide strategic and operational direction to the Adult Social Care functions contributing to the Council’s Corporate Plan priorities and values for Liverpool City Council.

Delivery of high-level advice, guidance and support in a specialist area which positively influences, either directly or indirectly, the trust and confidence of the community and the people that we support.

Lead adult social care service delivery, improving outcomes for people in Liverpool by raising standards and quality of practice and service performance in line with Council’s policies, Government guidance and relevant legislations.

Pursue best practice and value for money within the Service through the establishment of effective systems of governance and accountability, target setting, performance management and procurement.
