Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant

*** Support pupils with Autism or SEMH needs
 
The Role:
Support pupils with Autism or SEMH needs through a mixture of 1:1 work, small-group intervention, and classroom support. You will help pupils access learning, follow routines, regulate behaviour, build confidence, and engage more positively with school throughout the day.
 
The Candidate:
You are calm, observant, and able to build trust through consistency and clear communication. You want practical school-based experience, you can stay patient in a busy SEN setting, and you are interested in how the right support can help pupils with additional needs feel secure and make progress.
 
Requirements
  • Degree – A 2:2 or above in psychology.
    • Communication – Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
    • Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
    • Desire to work in education/with children – Genuine interest in supporting pupil progress and wellbeing.
    • Career Goals – A desire to pursue a career in educational or clinical psychology.
