Your Responsibilities

As a Graduate Cover Supervisor, you will take responsibility for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring pupils remain engaged and complete their assigned work.

• Supervise secondary school classes across a range of subjects during teacher absences.
• Deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure students understand the work they need to complete.
• Manage classroom behaviour, maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.
• Build professional relationships with students and establish clear classroom expectations.
• Support pupils with their learning, providing guidance and encouragement where appropriate.
• Follow school policies relating to behaviour, safeguarding and classroom management.
• Work closely with teaching staff and senior leaders to ensure continuity of learning.
