Key Details

• Job Type: Full-time, long-term (with scope for permanent placement)
• Subject: Mathematics (KS3 and KS4, with optional KS5)
• Start Date: September 2025
• Pay: £175 – £250 per day, depending on experience
• Eligibility: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or ECT status

 
The Role
You’ll be responsible for delivering Maths across KS3 and KS4, with the possibility of A-Level teaching for suitable candidates. You’ll work closely with a strong department team, planning and delivering lessons that foster curiosity, confidence, and core numeracy skills. The school follows a mastery-based approach and offers structured schemes of work alongside flexibility to personalise teaching.
This role includes full teaching responsibilities such as marking, assessments, data tracking, and attending departmental meetings.
 
The Candidate
This post is open to both experienced Maths teachers and confident ECTs with strong academic backgrounds. You’ll need excellent subject knowledge, high expectations of pupils, and a commitment to inclusive teaching. Strong classroom management and the ability to build rapport quickly are essential.


Requirements:

• UK QTS or ECT status
• Experience teaching Maths to KS3 and KS4
• A proactive, reflective teaching style
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
