The Role
An Ofsted-rated Good secondary school in Staffordshire is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Drama Teacher to join their Performing Arts department from September 2026 on a full-time, long-term basis.
The role involves teaching Drama across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging and practical lessons that encourage creativity, confidence, communication, and performance skills. You will support students in developing their understanding of theatrical techniques, scripted performance, and devising work while preparing pupils for GCSE Drama assessments.
Responsibilities include planning and delivering lessons, directing performances where required, assessing student progress, and maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment with high expectations for behaviour and participation.
 
The Candidate
The successful candidate will:
  • Hold QTS (ECTs welcome to apply)
    • Have experience teaching Drama at secondary level
    • Be confident delivering KS3 and KS4 Drama
    • Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational skills
    • Be passionate about the performing arts and student engagement
