The Role
A secondary school and post-16 setting in Birmingham is seeking a knowledgeable and engaging Business Studies Teacher to join their team from September 2026 on a long-term supply basis.
The role involves delivering BTEC Business Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications, helping students develop a strong understanding of key business concepts including marketing, finance, enterprise, human resources, and business operations. You will support learners in both coursework and assessment-based units, ensuring they are well prepared to achieve their qualification goals.
Working with students across KS4 and KS5, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons, assess learner progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain high expectations for achievement and professional conduct.
 
The Candidate
The successful candidate will:
  • Hold QTS or be an ECT
    • Have experience teaching Business Studies at KS4 and/or KS5
    • Be confident delivering BTEC Business Level 2 and Level 3 programmes
    • Have a strong understanding of vocational assessment requirements
    • Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills
    • Be committed to supporting student progress and achievement
