Vitalis are recruiting for an experienced Adult Social Worker in Reading to work in a Living Well Team.  
 This is a new and temporary sub team of all the Living Well Teams.
The senior will essentially lead a small team of Social Worker who are coming from all the Living Well Teams combined.
We are looking for a Senior Social Worker - this position will lead a small team of registered Social Workers focused on reviewing packages and placements, some of which may be high cost. The aim is to ensure that care needs are fully met while identifying opportunities to step individuals down into more cost effective safe alternatives.

We’re looking for someone who can drive our Recovery Plan work, applying close scrutiny to every element of a care package, avoiding over-provision and making the best use of available resources. The senior will work closely with commissioning and transformation and report progress into the relevant governance board.

Leadership, resilience and a strong focus on efficiency are essential. We would want assurance around ability to maintain a strong focus on managing oversight of workload, throughput, quality assurance of assessment/reviews and ensure cost effectiveness is an embedded ethos within the team

As part of the interview, we’ll be exploring your experience in delivering savings and driving efficiencies. Given the scale of the savings required it’s a key focus for the team.

The Senior Social Worker will be required to attend the office on average 2 days a week for meetings and visits.
