- Employment Type: Temporary (12 weeks, covering long-term sickness)
- Start Date: 26 August 2025
- Hours: 10 hours per week
- Location: Barry
- Pay Rate:
- PAYE: £12.21 per hour
- Umbrella: £15.48 per hour
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality cleaning services to various school sites across the Vale of Glamorgan, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
- Cover for other cleaners during holidays, sickness, or staff shortages.
- Occasionally assist the Chargehand/Site Supervisor in training cleaning staff.
- Perform a range of cleaning tasks, including carpet cleaning, steam cleaning, builders’ cleans, recess cleaning, and other site-specific requirements.
- Adhere to the Council’s Financial Regulations, Standing Orders, Policies, and Procedures.
- Uphold the principles of the Council’s Equal Opportunity and Environment Policies.
- Comply with Health and Safety legislation, ensuring the safety of yourself and others.
- Report any safeguarding concerns promptly to the appropriate safeguarding officer.
- Undertake additional duties as reasonably required by the Chief Officer, in line with the role’s grade and responsibilities.
Candidate Requirements:
- Must be eligible to work in the UK.
- Provide a signed Confidentiality Agreement.
- Must have a DBS
- Provide 2 years of references/work history.
