Hours: Saturday – Wednesday 9pm-6am

 

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our client, a fast-paced logistics and warehouse operation. This role is ideal for a motivated leader who thrives in a busy environment and is passionate about delivering operational excellence, developing teams and exceeding customer expectations.

Working closely with senior management, you will oversee daily warehouse and operational activities, 

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

• Supervise day-to-day warehouse and fulfilment activities.
  
  
• Ensure shipments are processed accurately and within customer SLAs.
  
  
• Identify and resolve operational issues quickly and effectively.
  
  
• Conduct daily shift briefings and handovers.
  
  
• Monitor attendance, performance and timekeeping.
  
  
• Coach and mentor colleagues to maximise performance.
  
  
• Support recruitment, onboarding and employee development.
  
  
• Liaise effectively with internal departments and operational partners.
  
  
• Support the investigation and resolution of customer queries.
  
  
• Build strong working relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  
  
• Ensure compliance with customs, security, GDPR and Health & Safety regulations.
  
  
• Maintain accurate operational records and documentation.
  
  
• Promote a positive Health & Safety culture across the operation.
  
  
• Conduct workplace inspections and investigate incidents where required.
  
  
• Contribute to the ongoing development of operational standards.
  
  

 

 

Essential to the role

• Full UK Driving Licence.
  
  
• Previous warehouse experience, specifically experience in a Team Leader or Supervisor role within logistics, warehousing or distribution.
  
  
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
  
  
• Good computer literacy, including email communication.
  
  
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  
  
• Excellent attention to detail.
  
  
• Positive, proactive and flexible approach to work.
  
  

 

Desirable

• Logistics and freight experience.
  
  
• Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience.
  
  
• Dangerous Goods awareness.
  
  
• Security awareness.
  
  
• Forklift licence.
  
  
• First Aid qualification.
