Location: Vale of Glamorgan (Penarth, Dinas Powys, Sully & Palmerston, Barry), South Wales
Contract: 16th May 2025 – 29th August 2025
Hours: 37 hours/week, Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

What You’ll Do:
- Oversee housing management for 1,150 properties, managing transfers, mutual exchanges, and empty properties from notice to re-letting.
- Conduct pre-allocation interviews, settling-in visits, and tenancy reviews, ensuring new tenants receive support to sustain tenancies.
- Address anti-social behaviour proactively, using tools like mediation, injunctions, and possession proceedings when necessary.
- Lead community engagement initiatives, manage neighbourhood budgets, and oversee environmental improvements and skills projects.
- Collaborate with agencies (e.g., social services, tenancy support) to resolve issues, ensuring properties are let within performance targets.
What We’re Looking For:
- Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and tenancy management skills, with experience in housing or community engagement.
- Qualities: Proactive, empathetic, and able to handle a busy workload while prioritizing tenant needs.
- Experience: Proven experience in housing management, ideally with general needs and sheltered housing; familiarity with anti-social behaviour processes.
- Requirements: Ability to work on-site at least 3 days/week (Tuesdays and Wednesdays in the office); ability to travel across Penarth, Dinas Powys, Sully, and Barry; eligibility to work in the UK. No DBS required.
- Bonus Points: Experience with court proceedings or decanting tenants; Welsh language skills (or willingness to learn basic greetings).
