Location: Aberdare
Salary: PAYE: £12.85 per hour | Umbrella: £16.32 per hour
Hours: 10 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 15:00–17:00)
Contract: Temporary, 9 weeks (14 September 2025 – 15 November 2025)

Join Our Team to Keep An Aberdare School Sparkling Clean! Network Recruitment Wales is recruiting a Cleaner on behalf of our client, a school in Aberdare. This temporary role offers the opportunity to contribute to a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students and staff.

What You’ll Do:
As a School Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of internal school areas, including: Sanitising toilet areas: Cleaning toilets, sinks, flooring, soap dispensers, hand dryers, cubicles, and pipework.
General cleaning: Hoovering or sweeping and mopping classrooms, corridors, staff rooms, school halls, offices, and communal areas, as well as cleaning skirting boards, window sills, shelves, and desks.
Sports areas/changing rooms: Sanitising shower areas and cubicles.
Staff rooms: Sanitising sinks, work surfaces, floors, and hard furnishings.
Waste management: Emptying waste bins throughout the school.
Equipment use: Operating a scrubber dryer machine in some areas (training provided).
You’ll be assigned a specific area daily, ensuring a focused and manageable workload. All relevant training will be provided to help you excel in your role.

What We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual who is: Eligible to work in the UK.
Able to provide 2 years of references/work history.
Committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Able to work independently and follow health and safety guidelines.
Welsh language skills are desirable but not essential.
