Disaster Recovery Architect

Disaster Recovery Architect - North Dublin – Hybrid (3 days onsite) - 6 Month Day Rate Contract 

Have you actually been responsible for designing enterprise level disaster recovery solutions? 

We are looking for an experienced Disaster Recovery Architect to lead the design of a new enterprise level 3rd site Disaster Recovery (DR) capability.

This is a senior technical DR architecture role, requiring proven experience designing complex DR, backup and cyber recovery solutions within large-scale infrastructure environments.

You will assess existing recovery capabilities, define target-state architecture, establish recovery requirements and produce detailed technical designs to support implementation.
 

The Role Responsibilities:

• Design and develop an enterprise third-site Disaster Recovery architecture.
  Assess existing backup, recovery and infrastructure resilience capabilities.
  Define RTO/RPO requirements and recovery strategies.
  Design solutions covering backup, replication, immutable storage and cyber recovery.
  Produce High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs).
  Lead technical workshops, architecture reviews and stakeholder engagements.
  Support implementation planning and architectural governance.
  
  

To apply you should have the following essential skills & experience:

• 5+ years' experience specifically as a DR Architect, Recovery Architect or Resilience Architect or if you’re an Infrastructure Architect who has personally owned DR architecture
• Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise Disaster Recovery solutions.
• Strong knowledge of backup, replication, immutable storage, recovery vaults and DR orchestration.
• Experience with VMware, Active Directory, SQL Server/Oracle, Windows, Linux and/or Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Strong understanding of RTO, RPO and business continuity strategies.
• Proven HLD/LLD production experience

Nice to haves:

• Third-site DR programme experience.
• Cyber Recovery Vault implementations.
• Enterprise backup and recovery transformations.
• Experience supporting critical 24/7 operational environments.
  
  

Important: This is a specialist Disaster Recovery Architecture position. Candidates primarily focused on IAM, SOC, SIEM, GRC, compliance, risk or cloud security, without significant DR architecture experience, will NOT be of interest.
