Job Description

Security Architect – SOC
Farnborough | Hybrid (2 days onsite, 3 days remote)

We’re looking for a Senior Security Architect to lead the design, governance and evolution of a modern SOC security architecture.
Due to the nature of the clients, the role will require a high level of Security Clearance (DV eligible); as such you must be a British national and have lived in the UK for the last 10 years.

This is a key role for an experienced Security Architect who understands SOC environments, detection engineering and security operations, and can act as the technical authority across platforms, controls and client solutions.

You’ll shape the future security architecture of the SOC, ensuring services are secure by design, scalable, compliant and aligned with customer requirements.

Key responsibilities:
  • Own and govern the SOC Security Architecture across platforms, integrations, detections and operating models.
    • Lead security architecture activities across SOC services and client engagements.
    • Define security controls, high-level and low-level designs, and testing requirements.
    • Shape detection content standards, including rules, use cases and correlation logic.
    • Act as the technical authority for security designs, blueprints and technology roadmaps.
    • Support SOC maturity, assurance and accreditation requirements including CREST.
    • Review technical changes, provide architectural governance and reduce security risk.
    • Drive improvements through automation, AI and emerging security technologies.

Essential experience:
  • Proven experience in Security Architecture within a SOC, MSSP, enterprise security or complex security operations environment.
    • Strong understanding of SOC operations, detection strategies, rules and use cases.
    • Experience owning or designing security architectures, platforms and security integrations.
    • Understanding of security governance, risk, compliance and assurance requirements.
    • Ability to influence engineers, analysts and stakeholders as a technical authority.
    •  British nationals (DV eligible role)

This is a great opportunity for a Security Architect who wants to take ownership of SOC strategy, architecture and the next generation of security services.
