We are currently looking to recruit a qualified SENCO on behalf of a local Oftsed Good Primary School which provides support to primary aged children within a mainstream setting.  The role of SENCO is critical to ensuring that the children are provided with a high level of support to enable them to make academic progress and overcome social and emotional barriers to learning.  This is a fabulous school that really puts the children first and where you will enjoy a fulfilling role. 

Ideally you will be:-

- A QTS Teacher and  Qualified SENCO
- Used to working as a SENCO in a Primary setting
- Able to work with children with complex needs, barriers to learning and social and emotional challenges
- Happy to work with external bodies to include LA's and Social Services
- Capacity to create individual support plans for learners
- Able to deal with external issues that influence the progress a child is able to make
- Used to providing counselling and support across whole of school
- Conversant with necessary reports required to support children in school from a SEN perspective
- Able to meet Safeguarding in Education Standards across whole of school
- Used to working to targets and standards within education
- Committed to changing outcomes for the children you support
- A fantastic communicator able to make meaningful contact and impact at school level
- Confident and able to put children at their ease and inspire trust
