💷 Pay rate: £30–£32 per hour
🕒 Office-based only (limited flexibility – remote work is not available)
 
Are you an experienced Social Worker with a passion for safeguarding and early intervention?
Join a committed Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) team in Greater Manchester where your analytical mind, attention to detail, and ability to make timely decisions will directly impact the safety and wellbeing of vulnerable children.
This is a high-impact, office-based role where you’ll be the vital link between initial referrals and frontline action. Working with police, education, and health professionals, you’ll gather and assess information to determine the best next steps for children at risk.
 
💼 What You’ll Be Doing:

• Screening referrals and making informed decisions on thresholds and risk
• Using your knowledge of the Children Act and safeguarding procedures to guide early intervention
• Liaising with partner agencies to gather intelligence and build a holistic view of a child’s situation
• Applying professional judgement to escalate concerns and ensure swift, appropriate responses
• Contributing to strategy discussions and ensuring accurate, evidence-based recording

 
✅ About You:

• Registered Social Worker with Social Work England
• 5+ years’ experience in children’s social care, including child protection and court work
• Strong working knowledge of MASH processes and safeguarding thresholds
• Confident decision-maker with excellent analytical and communication skills
• Skilled in multi-agency working and information-sharing
• Committed to achieving the best outcomes for children and families
