Child Protection Social Worker – Solihull

Pertemps is recruiting an experienced Child Protection Social Worker to join Solihull’s safeguarding service. This is a frontline role where your decisions, relationship‑building and professional curiosity directly shape safety and outcomes for children at risk of harm.

You will:

• Manage child protection cases — holding a varied caseload of children subject to CIN, CP and court processes
• Complete high‑quality assessments — analysing risk, need and family strengths
• Deliver direct work — engaging children and families to create meaningful, sustainable change
• Work with partners — including police, health and education to coordinate safeguarding action
• Record and report effectively — ensuring clear, timely and evidence‑based decision‑making

You need:

• Experience in child protection within a statutory children’s service
• Social Work England registration
• Strong risk analysis skills and confident decision‑making
• Eligibility to work in the UK
