Pertemps is recruiting an experienced Edge of Care Social Worker to join Leicestershire’s frontline services. This is a fast‑paced, high‑impact role supporting children and families where risks are escalating and timely intervention is critical.
You will:
- Complete quick‑turnaround Child & Family Assessments — analysing risk, need and family strengths at pace
- Work Child in Need and Edge of Care cases — providing intensive support to stabilise situations and prevent family breakdown
- Step cases up to Child Protection where thresholds are met
- Undertake occasional emergency court work — progressing cases to the Children in Care Team for ongoing management
- Build strong, restorative relationships with children and families to create sustainable change
- Experience in safeguarding or edge of care work
- Social Work England registration
- Strong assessment and risk‑analysis skills
- Eligibility to work in the UK
