Job Description
Pertemps is recruiting an experienced Assessment Social Worker to join Solihull’s fast‑paced Duty & Assessment Service. This frontline role is ideal for practitioners who thrive on variety, quick decision‑making and high‑quality safeguarding practice.
You will:
You will:
- Complete Child & Family Assessments — analysing risk, need and strengths at the point of referral
- Manage a dynamic caseload — progressing cases swiftly through CIN, CP or step‑down pathways
- Undertake direct work with children — ensuring their voice and lived experience shape decision‑making
- Work closely with multi‑agency partners — including police, health and education to coordinate timely responses
- Produce clear, evidence‑based reports — supporting planning, reviews and court processes where required
- Experience in duty, assessment or safeguarding
- Social Work England registration
- Strong assessment and risk‑analysis skills
- Eligibility to work in the UK
