Electrical Design

We are seeking an experienced qualified Electrical Design Engineer for our client.

The post holder will be responsible for the design of Electrical Engineering Installations within buildings of various size, age and construction in conformity with relevant professional and technical standards and statutory requirements.

Working within a multi-discipline team of professional engineers, architects and maintenance officers responsible for the design of the building installation that fall the the department as Landlord to control and also to the building user as tenant where they opt to use resources property.

The successful candidate must hold the relevant qualification HNC/equivalent and have appropriate professional membership IET/CIBSE with extensive experience of Electrical Building Design. Candidates should also have a working knowledge of HVAC design packages and AutoCAD.

Experience of fire alarm systems and BS 5839, emergency lighting systems, asbestos in buildings, risk assessment methods, H & S and CDM and a good working knowledge of IEE regulations, experience of intruder alarm systems and a sound understanding of Building regulations.

Ability to record on surveys the condition of electrical installations is essential.

A background dealing with public buildings/education sector would be a distinct advantage.

This is a combination or remote working and site visits.
