Electrical Compliance Manager About the Role We are looking for an experienced and proactive
Electrical Compliance Manager to lead and manage electrical compliance across Council’s housing and corporate assets. You will be the Council’s lead officer for electrical services, ensuring all statutory regulations, British Standards and health & safety requirements are met.
You will oversee all electrical contracts, compliance schedules, risk registers, inspections, and performance reporting. The role also involves managing staff, contractors and budgets, driving service improvements, and ensuring excellent customer service delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Lead on electrical statutory compliance across all housing assets.
- Manage contracts, contractors and the delivery of EICR programmes, repairs and maintenance.
- Maintain governing body registrations (ELECSA, ECA) and promote best practice.
- Develop and maintain compliance policies, schedules and risk registers.
- Produce performance reports and assurance updates for senior managers and councillors.
- Oversee budgets, procurement, and contractor payments.
- Manage and support a team of Electrical Supervisors.
About You You will bring:
- 5+ years’ post-qualification experience in electrical servicing, inspection and compliance (domestic & commercial).
- Recognised qualifications including C&G 2365 (L2 & L3), AM2, 2391/2394/5 Testing & Inspection, and 18th Edition.
- Strong knowledge of electrical compliance regulations and health & safety.
- Proven experience in contract and project management.
- Experience managing staff, performance, and budgets.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and leadership skills.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Desirable: Project Management qualification, Health & Safety qualification, and experience in quality assurance/auditing.
