Senior Development Manager – Housing Development
North London £600 per day (Umbrella) 6-month placement
1–2 days per week in office/site
 About the Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced 
Senior Development Manager to join a forward-thinking 
Housing Development Team in 
North London.
 The team plays a vital role in the 
strategic development of the Council’s Housing Revenue Account (HRA) portfolio, leading on borough-wide housing and regeneration projects and partnerships.
 You’ll take responsibility for managing key schemes — including 
Meridian Water Phases 1 & 2 — as part of the Council’s ambitious programme to deliver 
over 3,500 new affordable homes by 2029. 
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the development and delivery of major housing projects, including Meridian Water Phases 1 & 2.
 - Manage scheme development, procurement of delivery partners, and overall project delivery.
 - Oversee major regeneration projects with socio-economic outcomes that align with the Council’s strategic vision.
 - Build and maintain high-level relationships with key stakeholders — including Government departments, GLA, developers, and community partners.
 - Commission and coordinate technical, legal, and commercial advisors to support project delivery.
 - Manage communications and promotional activities to raise the profile of regeneration projects.
 - Provide clear, evidence-based reporting and decision-making insights to Senior Officers and Members.
 
Key Skills & Experience:- Proven experience leading housing development or regeneration projects from inception to delivery.
 - Strong understanding of technical, legal, commercial, and socio-economic factors influencing major schemes.
 - Skilled in preparing business plans, appraisals, and financial models.
 - Experience negotiating development agreements and professional appointments.
 - Excellent commercial acumen, project reporting, and budget management capabilities.
 - Strong analytical, writing, and presentation skills — able to convey complex information clearly.
 - Experienced people manager and mentor, supporting junior team members’ growth.
 - Organised, proactive, and a natural self-starter.
