Homelessness Project Worker – North LondonLocation: North London (Osborne Grove Assessment Centre)
Rate: £20.75 per hour (umbrella)
Contract: 3-month ongoing
Shifts: Rolling rota – early (8am–4:30pm) and late (2pm–10pm), including weekends. No overnight shifts. Some long weekends off (3–4 days).
About the Role: The Centre provides
37 beds of off-street accommodation for individuals experiencing homelessness. We’re seeking a
compassionate and proactive Project Worker to support rough sleepers with complex needs, helping them transition into stable, longer-term accommodation.
You’ll carry out comprehensive assessments, develop safety plans, and work collaboratively with each service user to identify appropriate move-on options within 12 weeks.
Key Responsibilities:- Complete assessments and create individual move-on plans.
- Develop and regularly update safety plans for all service users.
- Support individuals to obtain ID and access eligible benefits.
- Adopt a harm reduction approach in addressing health and substance use needs.
- Provide support to people with No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF) where required.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, person-centred support.
Requirements:- Experience supporting people affected by homelessness or rough sleeping.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk management, and harm reduction.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexibly on a rota basis, including weekends.
