Job Description
Location: Brentwood, Essex
Rate: £27.69 per hour (Umbrella)
Contract: 3-month ongoing contract
Working pattern: 2–3 days per week in the office
Role Overview We are recruiting an experienced Housing Officer to manage a patch of approximately 400 properties in Brentwood, Essex. This is a hands-on role covering core housing management functions, ideal for a proactive officer who can work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a patch of around 400 properties
- Rent arrears management and recovery
- Carrying out estate inspections
- Completing tenancy audits and visits
- Managing tenancy issues including breaches and enforcement
- General tenancy management and resident support
- Previous experience working as a Housing Officer or similar
- Strong experience in arrears recovery and tenancy management
- Ability to manage a large patch effectively
- Confident communicator with strong organisational skills
