🕒 Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 4:00pm
💷 Pay: £15.60 per hour
About the Role
Pertemps is recruiting enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join Wakefield Mail Centre as Administrators during the busy seasonal period.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment supporting one of the UK’s most iconic delivery services.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
As an Administrator, your responsibilities will include:
- Communication Hub:
Acting as a first point of contact for internal and external communications — handling incoming and outgoing calls, emails, and post, and directing enquiries to the appropriate team members. - Organisation and Record-Keeping:
Creating, organising, and maintaining both digital and physical filing systems and databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with data protection regulations. - Scheduling and Logistics:
Managing diaries, booking meeting rooms, scheduling meetings, and arranging travel and accommodation for staff and management. - Office Management:
Monitoring office supplies and equipment, placing orders, and managing the reception area, including greeting visitors in a professional manner. - Documentation:
Drafting, typing, and proofreading correspondence, reports, and presentations, and taking minutes during meetings. - Financial and HR Support (if required):
Assisting with basic bookkeeping, processing invoices, tracking expenses, and maintaining employee records or supporting onboarding activities.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and basic IT systems
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
- A proactive, positive attitude and ability to work independently or as part of a team
