  Army officers serve as commissioned officers in Her Majesty’s armed forces and foreign and Commonwealth armed forces. They may command soldiers in an army, army corps, a division or a brigade. They plan, direct, organise and administer military operations and perform duties for which there is no civilian equivalent.
