Experienced Machinist (CNC / Manual) Location: Burgess Hill
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week | 4-Day Week (Monday–Thursday)
Salary: £31,000 – £36,000 basic (DOE) + benefits
Our client is a well-established manufacturer of high-precision production machinery based in Burgess Hill. To support their ongoing production, we are seeking a skilled Machinist to join the workshop team.

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week | 4-Day Week (Monday–Thursday)

Key Responsibilities
- Machining low-to-medium volume components for bespoke production machinery.
- Operating both CNC and manual machinery (milling and turning).
- Working to tight tolerances from engineering drawings.
- Managing setups, tool changes, and material prep across key substrates: predominantly Aluminium (including 6082 grade), Stainless Steel, and occasional Engineering Plastics.
- Inspecting finished parts using standard measuring equipment to ensure quality control.
- Proven experience in manual milling and turning, or experience programming, setting, and operating CNC machines.
- Solid background working with metals (aluminium and stainless steel essential).
- Strong drawing interpretation skills and attention to precision.
- Self-motivated with a practical, problem-solving approach to small-batch manufacturing.
- Work-Life Balance: 4-day shift pattern (Monday to Thursday) with Fridays off.
