What does a Order Picker do?
A Order Picker is responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting products from the warehouse inventory to fulfil customer orders. This role involves utilizing order picking equipment and ensuring that the correct items are assembled and prepared for shipment.
Tasks required include:
- Retrieve products from designated locations within the warehouse based on customer orders..
- Use handheld scanners or pick lists to identify and verify items for each order..

- Affix shipping labels and documentation to each package..
- Update inventory records by confirming the quantity and condition of picked items..
- Communicate discrepancies or stock shortages to the inventory control team..
- Coordinate with other warehouse staff, including supervisors and packers, to ensure smooth order fulfilment processes..

What are the entry requirements for a Order Picker?
