Software developers build a non-trivial piece of software from the ground up and see it through to completion. They implement or program all kinds of software systems based on specifications and designs by using programming languages, tools, and platforms.
Tasks required include:
- Examines existing software and determines requirements for new/modified systems in the light of business needs.
- Undertakes feasibility study to design software solutions.
- Writes and codes individual programs according to specifications.
- Develops user interfaces.

- Implements and evaluates the software.
- Plans and maintains database structures.

What are the entry requirements for a Software Specialist?
