Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen
- Lead, motivate, and develop the kitchen team, ensuring high standards at all times
- Take an active role in menu development and planning, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current food trends
- Ensure the smooth delivery of service across all areas including restaurant, events, and private dining
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency
- Oversee and enforce strict food safety and hygiene standards
- Ensure full compliance with allergen awareness and regulations
- Assist with stock control, ordering, and cost management
- Step up in the absence of the Head Chef when required
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Sous Chef or Sous Chef in a quality-driven kitchen
- Strong leadership skills with experience leading and developing a team
- A hands-on approach with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Passion for menu development and staying ahead of emerging food trends
- Excellent knowledge of food safety standards and allergen management
- A collaborative attitude and ability to work as a strong team player
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
