Warehouse Operative – Temporary
Location: Midlothian, EH22 2NE
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Working Hours: Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 3:45pm
Friday: 8:00am – 2:00pm

Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Temporary, with potential to continue until Christmas

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a third-party client for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join their team on a temporary basis.

Candidates with forklift training or experience would be ideal. However, forklift experience is not essential, as the role also involves a range of general warehouse and production duties.

Please note: this is a heavy lifting role.

Key Responsibilities

• Breaking down pallets and handling stock
  
  
• Recording and checking items accurately
  
  
• Storing products safely and efficiently
  
  
• Carrying out general warehouse duties
  
  
• Supporting general production activities as required
  
  
• Loading, unloading and moving stock
  
  
• Maintaining a clean and organised working area
  
  
• Following health and safety procedures
  
  
• Working flexibly and assisting with other duties as required
  
  

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous warehouse experience, which would be beneficial
  
  
• Forklift training or experience, which would be highly advantageous
  
  
• The ability to carry out heavy lifting and manual handling
  
  
• A reliable and punctual approach to work
  
  
• Good attention to detail when recording and checking items
  
  
• The ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
  
  
• A flexible approach to duties
