The Role The successful candidate will:
- Support pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, and other SEN
- Work 1:1 and in small groups to support learning and emotional development
- Assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive learning environment
- Use strategies such as visual supports, sensory breaks, and positive behaviour techniques
- Encourage pupils’ confidence, communication, and social skills
- Support pupils both inside and outside the classroom
- Has a background in Psychology, Education, Health & Social Care, or a related field
- Has experience working with children or young people, ideally within education or care settings
- Demonstrates patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
- Has an interest in autism, SEN, and child development
- Is proactive, reliable, and passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs
