Domestic Violence Team Manager, North London 
Pay rate £32.80 per hour  
Contract role, IDVA qualified 
Pertemps are recruiting for an experienced Domestic Violence Team Manager in North London. 
The role: 
  • The Barnet Domestic Abuse Safety Hub (BDASH) forms part of the borough’s coordinated response to domestic abuse, providing advocacy, safety planning and support to survivors of domestic abuse across Barnet. The service delivers high-quality, trauma-informed interventions, working in partnership with statutory and voluntary sector agencies to improve safety, reduce risk, and promote recovery. 
  • As Team Manager, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the day-to-day operations of BDASH and to lead a team of specialist staff, including Independent Domestic Violence Advocates (IDVAs) and other practitioner roles. You will ensure that the service is delivered to a high standard, that contractual and organisational expectations are met, and that survivors receive timely, effective and person-centred support. 
  • This role requires strong leadership, the ability to manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment, adapt to new  software operating  systems and processes  and a commitment to partnership working. You will be responsible for ensuring delivery against agreed outcomes, maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, and keeping the needs of survivors at the centre of all service delivery. 
Qualification & Knowledge  
  • Level 3 regulated qualification in supporting victims of domestic abuse (e.g., SafeLives IDVA training or equivalent). 
  • Demonstrable knowledge of: 
  • Domestic abuse legislation and safeguarding frameworks (e.g., Domestic Abuse Act 2021, Children Act 1989, Care Act 2014). 
  • Civil, family, and criminal justice processes, including protective orders and special measures. 
  • Risk assessment tools such as DASH and safety planning frameworks. 
  • Understanding of trauma-informed practice and intersectional needs of victims. 
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and willingness to undertake clinical supervision 
  • Educated to degree level with relevant and UK recognised professional skills and qualifications commensurate with the needs of effective service delivery i.e. Psychology, Mental Health, Counselling, Social work. 
  • Minimum of 3 years post qualification in domestic abuse work.  
  • Basic training in management competencies
