SEN Teaching Assistant – Secondary School | Wembley HA9
Location: Wembley, HA9
Role: SEN Teaching Assistant (Secondary)
Hours: 8:30am – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday
Pay: £550 – £600 per week, paid every Friday
Start: ASAP / September starts considered
About the Role We are currently recruiting for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a well‑organised and supportive secondary school in Wembley (HA9).
You will be working within a structured SEN team, supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs across the school. The SEN department operates with clear systems and regular debriefs for each pupil, ensuring staff are fully equipped with the right information and strategies to support students effectively.
This is an excellent opportunity for a SEN TA seeking consistency, strong team support, and long‑term career progression.

Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils with SEN within a secondary school setting
- Work collaboratively as part of a SEN team
- Follow support plans and contribute to pupil progress
- Take part in regular debriefs and handovers on individual pupils
- Promote inclusion, safeguarding, and positive behaviour
- Minimum 1 year experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school
- Proven experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Confident working with KS3 and KS4 pupils
- Professional, reliable, and able to work well within a team
- Undergraduate degree (minimum 2:2) for candidates interested in future teacher training
- Highly organised SEN department with strong communication systems
- A team‑based SEN environment with regular support and feedback
- £550–£600 per week, paid every Friday
