What does a Education Administrator do?
Education administrators organise and manage the administration, support systems and (student) activities of education institutions. They perform a range of administrative, secretarial, financial and supportive tasks to ensure the efficient and cost-effective running of the school. They may assist in student recruitment, alumni relations, funding and work on committees including academic boards and quality insurance.
Tasks required include:
- Advises educational establishments on educational policies and procedures, and the introduction of new technologies.
- Co-ordinates and undertakes the evaluation of assessments and awards grades of merit based upon performance.
- Designs and implements methods of assessing the performance of students.
- Develop, plan and implement international student recruitment strategies.
- Manages and trains exam invigilators and updates invigilators on current rules and regulations.
- Mark exams and moderates coursework samples.
