They write reports providing advice on the offender's sentence and possibilities of reoffending. They assist offenders during the rehabilitation and reintegration process and ensure they carry out their community service sentence when necessary.

    Tasks required include:

    • Advises individuals and families experiencing problems about available resources to assist them.

    • Organises day, residential and home care services.
    • Helps to put together care plans and follows professional’s care plans.

    • Keeps up to date with legislation.
    • Performs pastoral care duties, preaches sermons and conducts some services in accordance with the relevant faith or denomination.
